From the late 70's through most of the 80's, Steve in San Francisco sent tapes to me in Minneapolis/St. Paul, and I did likewise. We informed each other on a wide variety of mostly trivial things. His tapes are still in my crawlspace, I suspect mine are in his. Future historians might be interested in listening to them ... after I'm dead.
Here he is, posing with "me" (the tape recorder).

Steve worked at the Golden Gate Theater for several years. Here's a picture of Steve, Lena Horne, and a mutual friend.

And finally, here's a nice, decent picture of Steve with the Bay Bridge in the background.
Doesn't he look handsome?
Well, this picture was taken in the early 80's, possibly earlier. He's a lot older, grayer and more curmudgeonly nowadays. Oh, yeah, and he's been married for about umpteenmillion years.
Just thought you'd like to know.
