Kathy and I took a trip to a great little town in the spring of 1999. Lanesboro is in a hilly region southeast of Rochester. The Root River Trail winds along the (what else?) Root River, mostly running along or near an abandoned railroad, and we rented bikes for a great day.This shot is taken from just off the trail, amongst a beautiful and typical spray of wildflowers.
